The sun moves, shadows change; there is only a short period of time that an artist has to capture the shifts of light and color when painting outdoors - but it is this very desire to distill the energy and freshness of nature that drives the plein air painter. Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters was formed to bring together artists who share this passion.
This is also from the Savannah in Ft. Pierce. I painted here with Cecelia and this is the eastern side of the Savannah. It is very beautiful this year because they had so much rain earlier in the fall before we got here. 11 x 14 acrylic

So nice Madeline--a true plein air painting--it depicts the whole area, the atmoshere, the light on the water and reflections perfectly.
