WILDWOOD FALL GRASSES By Cecelia Lyden

I got up and out early last Saturday morning, so I could get in a last plein air session with other members of Paul Gallo's class, before SVPAP's luncheon and meeting that afternoon. I'm so glad I made the effort. The morning weather was perfect and although the trees were mostly bare, there was enough interesting color and contrasts in the grasses, water and sky. The tree, that I was unable to work into the composition cast a shadow on the water. So I included it the painting in that way.

Wildwood is always one of my favorite places to paint and I think it is pretty in any season. You have done a nice job of capturing the subtle beautiful colors of late fall.
