The Road Less Taken, 12 x 12" oil en plein air, Jill Peckelun

Well this piece is aptly named.  I painted it at Longwood Gardens where there are massive formal flower beds of glorious perfect blooms.  I am standing by the edge of the woods painting a crooked little path.  Partly to avoid the crowds.  Mostly because I just like crooked little paths.  Go figure.

I'm a "crooked path" fan myself--random beauty touches my soul and inspires me to hold on to it by capturing it on canvas.
